Several years ago, before this assignment, I was walking along the shoreline and stumbled upon a crab hole surrounded by lime peels, giving the impression that the crab had hosted a lively gathering (see the photo above). When I was assigned this beach music festival project, this memory popped into my mind. Drawing from this scene, I used a crab to represent ocean life and incorporated Sunbelt's "gear" symbol as the crab's claws—a brand deviation that was permitted for this event. I added lime peels to the design to create a pattern and evoke a festive atmosphere.
